Town Manager
Yanceyville, pop. 2,200, is accepting apps. for the position of Town Manager. Council Mgr form of gov't. Mayoyr and 4 Council Members. Supervise and direct day-to-day operations. 6 FT employees, $700,000 GF and $1.5 million Enterprise Fund, Additional duties include, personnel, budget, planning/zoning, grant management, and other duties as assigned. Excellent communication skills desired. Minimum of BA/BS degree, Masters preferred and experience in local government and/or project management. Benefits

Insurance Benefits
Health Insurance is provided by the Town with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina for employees at no cost to the employee. Coverage is offered for dependents at the expense of the employee. Coverage includes medical, vision, dental, and a prescription drug card. New hires have a 90-day waiting period.

Life Insurance:
Life insurance of $10,000 for employees is provided at no cost to the employee. Coverage begins on the first day of the month after 60 days of employment. In addition, a death benefit in the amount of one (1) times the amount of employee annual salary (not less than $25,000 but not more than $50,000 maximum) is provided through the retirement system after one year of service with the Town of Yanceyville.

Retirement Benefits:
All full time employees are required to enroll as a member of the North Carolina Local Governmental Employee's Retirement System. The Retirement System program will meet the retirement and disability needs of the employee. Employees contribute 6% of their salary and the Town currently contributes 4.91% for general employees.  Employees that leave the Town prior to retirement may elect to have their contributions (plus interest after 5 years of service) refunded. Coverage begins immediately upon employment.

401(k) - Supplemental retirement is offered to all full-time employees at a tax-deferred savings with no match from the Town for General Employees.
