The Town of Yanceyville's population
has not seen much change. The recent Census shows
that population is not experiencing much change in
numbers or diversity. Accurate population counts and
analysis plays a key role in many Town programs. Some
federal and state funding is based on the population.
Meetings & Records
Council meetings
are held at Town Hall in the Council Chambers on the
first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise
advertised). The Town Council works in conjunction with
county officials to bring infra structure and industrial
development for our citizens. When special meetings
are called it is advertised in local newspapers and
will be posted to this website Community News page. Minutes and other records
of meetings are maintained by the Town Manager.
Operations and Activities
The
Town provides the following services on a full-time
basis: water and sewer, solid waste collection,
streets, and public works.
Other activities
include zoning, planning, community development and
economic development.
By encouraging responsible and
responsive planning, we enhance the quality of life
in the community by promoting the wellness of neighborhoods,
protecting property values by encouraging compatible
development, and providing for the future growth and
stability of the Town of Yanceyville.
